Dr. Elizabeth Hoy grew up in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia. After high school, she moved to University Park, where she obtained her Biology degree from Penn State University. During her time there, she played rugby and was a member of the national championship team. She then completed her dental degree at University of Pittsburgh.
After graduation, she furthered her training by completing an optional one year general dentistry residency at Bay Pines Veterans Hospital in St Petersburg, FL.
For the next four years, she worked as a general dentist at a community health center in Tampa, FL, caring for the underserved patient population in that area.
Dr. Hoy is currently an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Hoy was recently married in January and lives with her husband and their rescue dog, Stella, in NoDa. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and playing volleyball.
